Affiliate Disclosure
Plain English: how we make money, and why it doesn't change what we recommend.
What affiliate links are
When we link to a product, some of those links are "affiliate links." If you click one and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price you would have paid otherwise — the commission comes out of the retailer's margin, not your pocket.
Programs we participate in
ReclineWise is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. We also participate in affiliate programs with other furniture retailers and brands. Where that's the case, the same rules apply.
How it affects our recommendations
It doesn't. Our picks come from measuring and comparing products against the criteria that actually matter — seat dimensions, wall clearance, weight capacity, mechanism type, warranty. We recommend products we'd tell a friend to buy. If the best option in a category has no affiliate program, we still recommend it. If a product we earn on turns out to be a poor choice, we say so.
Prices and availability
Prices, specifications, and availability change frequently and are set by the retailer, not by us. We describe products in price ranges rather than exact figures, but always confirm the current price and specs on the retailer's page before buying.
Questions
If anything here is unclear, or you believe a recommendation is influenced by a commission, tell us — we take editorial independence seriously. See our About & methodology page for how we test and choose.
